A Festive Holiday Wedding in Grand Rapids, MI
This week, I’m looking back at one of my favorite weddings from the holiday season - Pete and Mel’s ceremony in Grand Rapids, MI. With the Christmas-inspired floral arrangements in traditional red and green colors to the bride’s gorgeous fur wrap, this wedding just exuded classic charm. You can tell the adoration this couple has for each other in every shot they’re in together. I just loved the cozy feel of this Grand Rapids wedding ceremony!
WINTER HOLIDAY WEDDINGS IN GRAND RAPIDS
The Christmas spirit was in the air throughout the entire day. The wedding party chose the Amway Grand Plaza hotel in Grand Rapids, MI as a place for them to get ready and for the bride and groom to get their first looks at each other. I especially enjoyed watching Pete and Mel open the letters they had written especially for each other to open on their big day.
The weather was chilly, but thankfully, not snowy or too cold outside. After taking some breathtaking photos outside the Amway Grand Plaza of the bride, groom, the wedding party, and (my favorite) Mel with her dad, we headed north to the Goei Center for both the ceremony and reception.
GRAND RAPIDS WEDDINGS AT THE GOEI CENTER
Located on the west side of the city of Grand Rapids, the Goei Center is a space that’s simply designed for celebration! This loft-style venue has a modern, rustic feel that went along perfectly with the cozy aesthetic of the occasion. From the string musicians playing throughout the ceremony, to the signature drinks aptly named “the Merry Manhattan” and “the Cranberry Cringle” served at the reception, every bit of the day was full of timeless holiday spirit.
